Six Stages of Your Home Build
Building a home is an exciting process with clear stages. Here’s what to expect at each step of your journey with us:
Stage 1: Base Stage – Laying the Foundations
This is where it all begins! The base stage involves preparing and stabilizing the site to create a solid foundation for the rest of the build, ensuring everything is safe and secure from the ground up.
Prepare the site with soil testing, land clearing, retaining walls and/or demolition
Establish the site with essentials such as temporary fencing, and services for our Tradesmen
Level the site, pour the concrete slab, and lay the foundation
Stage 2: Frame Stage – Building the Structure
Your home’s shape starts to emerge as we construct the framework, bringing your design to life and outlining each space with walls, floors, and roof supports.
Erect the framework for walls and roof trusses
Construct internal and external walls
Install floor joists if your home has multiple levels
Stage 3: Lock-Up Stage – Enclosing the Home
At this stage, we focus on enclosing the home, securing it from the elements, and making it weatherproof, so we can start working on the interior.
Install windows, external doors, and cladding
Complete the roof, adding gutters and downpipes
Fit garage doors and other external elements to create the shell
Stage 4: Fixing Stage – Adding Interior Details
Once the exterior is complete, we focus on the interior, adding cabinetry, finishes, and fixtures that bring functionality and style to every room.
Install cabinetry, skirting boards, architraves, and internal doors
Complete plastering, insulation, and essential carpentry
Add countertops, benchtops, and other interior finishes
Stage 5: Practical Completion Stage – The Final Touches
The finishing details are added, from painting and tiling to fixtures and lighting, creating a move in ready space.
Paint walls, install floor coverings, and complete tiling
